A healthy seed to add to desserts, breakfast cereals, smoothies and drinks. They are high in fibre. In order to release their nutrients, soak in water before use.
Chia Seeds are very similar to Basil seeds and can be used as a substitute in lots of recipes containing basil seeds. They are a little smaller than basil seeds and have more Omega-3 than basil seeds.
They both swell and form a gel when soaked but basil seeds more quickly and to a larger size.
Chia Seeds are good sources of calcium, iron and magnesium.
