Basil seeds can be used in smoothies, drinks, desserts and baking.
Basil seeds are very similar to chia seeds and can be used as a substitute in lots of recipes containing chia seeds. They are a little larger than chia seeds and have more fibre than chia seeds.
They both swell and form a gel when soaked but basil seeds swell more quickly and to a larger size.
Basil and Chia Seeds are good sources of calcium, iron and magnesium.
